The bustling of summer vacations are over, back to school scamper has subsided, welcoming of cool weather is great, and the idea of being home for the holiday all play a major role in why fall season is a great time to sell (and buy).

For the HOMEOWNER, you typically have less competition because more people will list in later winter/spring. That leads to the obvious- supply and demand. The benefit to the BUYER is also a matter of supply and demand- fewer buyers means less competition when you’re making your offer (in the Dallas/Fort Worth market, the competition can be fierce and brutal, leading to multiple offers and offers above asking price).

If you’re thinking about selling your home, now or during the HOLIDAY SEASON, here are a few helpful tips…


1. Seasonal Curb Appeal

You want to create a warm, inviting, seasonal or holiday “SPIRIT”, without “spooking” your buyer. Add appropriate curb appeal for the season, but don’t overdo it.
