Gorden was Recommended by our son-in-law because of the expertise he displayed helping find, negotiate and close on their home and two other investment homes for his parents in less than one month. Gorden assessed our requirements, to sell two homes, one in North Richland Hills (NRH) and the other in Bedford; then to buy one in west Fort Worth during our first meeting. We started the process by selling the NRH home, then to sell the Bedford home, then buy a home in west Fort Worth contingent upon selling the Bedford home.

Our first focus was on NRH home where Gorden assessed the market and recommended a sales price that was well with our expectations. Following his inspection, he provided a punch list for us to complete in preparation for listing and showing. He provided a list of service contractors to performed the prep work, and all were professional and cost effective – we would also recommend them as well. Within a few days following completion of the punch list, the home was listed and he began marketing with an open house the next day. Within a few days, there were several offers on the home. Gorden began negotiations on the offers, and made recommendations to us on which ones provided the best value to us – we still sold for list price even after repairs. From listing to closing was approximately one month.

A few days after our NRH home closed, we contacted Kemberly to get some home staging/showing tips and she came to our home in Bedford the same day. She made recommendations throughout our home that would be least disruptive to our living in the home but most effective in marketing it. She scheduled a photographer the next day to accentuate the space and warmth of our home. Our home was listed the next day and we received a text message later in the day indicating that 400 people had seen the new listing and 13 had marked our home a favorite. Open house followed on Saturday. In addition to the open house on Saturday there were nine additional appointments scheduled for that day and an additional seven on Sunday. By Sunday evening we had seven offers, all exceeding the asking price. Gorden analyzed each offer and recommended the one that met our needs. It was $17,000 above asking price and permitted us to lease back the home for 2 months while our new home is being built. Upon inspection, it was revealed that we needed to replace the roof, but we only had two weeks until closing to complete the work. The roofing company Gorden recommended worked with us and our insurance company to get the roof replace in time for closing. Our second home, like the first one, was sold from listing to closing within a month.

In our search for a new home we found a house we liked at Live Oak Creek in Fort Worth but we had a number of concerns regarding the lot on which it would be built. So, we asked Gorden to help us assess the issues of concern. He performed an analysis of the property the results of which resolved all of our concerns. The house is being built and should be completed in sync with our lease back option on the Bedford home.

Gorden and Kemberly’s communications with us throughout the process of selling our homes in this market was invaluable. The availability of Gorden and Kemberly, their competence and experience, their ability to explain, and their focus on representing us well was amazing. And what they said was what happened. I can’t imagine anyone helping us through this process better than Gorden and Kemberly did.

Cannot thank them enough!

We had the pleasure of working with Kemberly and Gorden McLaughlin to find a rental home in the Fort Worth area. We knew nothing about the area and Kemberly was kind enough to make some great suggestions! The listing portal was very user-friendly and easy to navigate. I was impressed!!!

I was helping my son Steven purchase a home. We were very impressed with Gorden’s integrity, ambition and hustle. Being on a very short time fuse, we met Gorden at an open house, and gave him our constraints, price, size, and school districts. The next day we were selecting properties, and placed an offer with two other competing offers. Gorden’s negotiation skills came in to play to convince the sellers that although not the highest dollar figure, we were the strongest offer on the table. Steven now has a very nice home in a very nice neighborhood with great schools. I was impressed!!!

Gorden's Great

When we moved to the DFW area we spent a little over a year researching properties, going to open houses and met a bunch of Real Estate Agents along the way. We met Gorden at an open house and had a very long conversation with him. We were not impressed with the house, but we were extremely impressed with Gorden and began working with him to find our dream home. He went above and beyond looking into lots, contacting builders, walking us through various properties and giving us priceless information during the entire process. In the end he found us the home that checked all of our boxes and got it for great price. His help and guidance during the closing process was incredible and we were so thankful for his input. Comfortable + Confident

I would like to recommend Gorden McLaughlin as a real estate agent to anyone searching for their dream home. I was tentatively researching homes online, and had several real estate agents reach out to me, but there was something about Gorden's approach that made me feel comfortable and confident that he was the right choice. My wife Rebecca and I would like to recommend Gorden McLaughlin because he knows people--he cares about people, he cared about us...His patience and willingness to persevere for over a year in helping us find exactly what we wanted is unprecedented and unheard of in these days. Downright good people!

I met Gorden completely by accident, but I feel he was put in my path for a reason. I was immediately impressed by his willingness to help me determine what the best steps for me to take in the process of selling my current home and buying my next home. He was there for me every step of the way during the almost year long process and was invaluable when it came time to secure a contract on three different houses. His knowledge of the market and pricing trends as well as his ability to negotiate a contract makes his services not only desirable but also necessary in today's rough and tumble housing market.
